Based in the Northern Worcester County area, ncmbua.org is a member assocation of the MBUA and facilitates the education, training, assessment, and scheduling of officials. By doing so, we proudly promote fair play, competition, and the increased enjoyment of athletics by players, fans, and participants alike.

Baseball Home Plate Slide

New Candidate Umpire Training Class

The NCMBUA is currently looking for new umpire candidates for the 2021 training class. The training consists of 10 hours of classroom work, a field mechanics clinic and a state certified exam. The class starts Monday March 8th, 2021. The class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays (See schedule below). There will be (5) 2-hour classes that will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-8pm in virtually. The cost for the class is $125. If interested please contact Bob Cutting (Trainer NCMBUA) at ncmbua@gmail.com. Please register by Friday 3/5/2021.

Mechanics: TBD

Upon completion of the class new umpires will be certified to umpire all amateur levels of baseball from MIAA high school varsity and sub-varsity, including AAU down to Little League and Cal Ripken as well as summer leagues such as Sr. Ruth, Legion and Stan Musial men's leagues.

The meetings will be held virtually from 7-8pm.

During these meeting the primary focus will be on a refresher of the NFHS rules which the MIAA and Baseball Committee adopted for the 2020 season as well as safety measures required to umpire this season such as COVID-19 Mechanics and protocols.
